The Heart of Texas FOOLS up in the metroplex have an event coming up we wanted to pass along. It is called HOT FOOLS Night and is at the Love & War in Plano (601 E Plano Pkwy 75074). The announcement on their website says they will have Firefighter Olympics, Pipes and Drums, and live music from the Mo Robson Band. Check it out here…

As discussed at the May meeting in Liberty Hill, a community service project has been set up. Today I spoke with Karen Thompson who is the contact person for the Pond Springs Cemetery, on Lake Creek Drive in Jollyville.

Mrs. Thompson is a descendant of the Jolly family, and was very thankful for our offer for assistance. She is sending me a packet of history and other information about the site and I will post it here when it comes in. Read the rest of this entry »

We will be meeting up for the May 2007 on the 26th of May; meeting in Seward Junction, which is near Liberty Hill. We’re getting together at a restaurant called Margarita’s, which is located at or near the corner of Hwy. 29 and US HWY 183 (click here for a map). We are aiming to start around 7:00 PM and the agenda is a little food and conversation about the tiller truck !
